Gayndah celebrates 25th anniversary

NORTH Burnett Regional Council is inviting Gayndah residents to come celebrate the 25th anniversary of its sister city partnership with Zonhoven next Saturday.

The special event will kick off with a dedication of a locally produced Regional Arts Development Fund Project at the Zonhoven Park from 3pm.

Local school children, under the guidance of the Gayndah Pottery Group, have created handmade tiles depicting the Gayndah-Zonhoven "twinning".

These tiles will be used as a base for tables and chairs in Gayndah's Zonhoven Park.

This will be followed by Celebration Evening at the Gayndah Regional Art Gallery from 5pm which will include speeches and entertainment, with a light buffet provided.

The council has asked those interested in attending to RSVP prior to close of business, Thursday, March 13.

For more information call North Burnett Regional Council on 1300 696 272 or email admin@northburnett.qld.gov.au.
