IF YOU'VE ever dreamed of lighting up the silver stage and looking as glamorous as a Hollywood star, then here's your chance to put your best foot forward and dazzle the crowds.

On October 13, a Vintage Hollywood Gala Dinner will be held to support the Raise the Roof appeal, a non-profit orphanage project founded by Bundaberg school teacher Cathy Booth

Kerri-Anne McNee, trustee of the Umoja Orphanage Kenya, said the event at Across The Waves would be an entertaining affair with a fantastic theme, quality entertainment and a silent auction featuring sporting memorabilia.

"We chose a vintage Hollywood theme so people could get glammed up, and the theme is also open to interpretation," she said.

"A number of local bands have volunteered their time, including a Gold Coast cabaret performer who is coming here to exclusively perform for us."

Organisers hope to make the gala an annual event.

Tickets cost $85 and are available from the Moncrieff Theatre by phoning 4130 4100 or at moncrieff-bundaberg.com.au/theatre/vintage-hollywood-charity-dinner.
