Four critical airlifts for CareFlight’s Bundaberg team
IT'S been a busy day for RACQ CareFlight Rescue with the service flying nine rescue missions across the state in one day, nearly double the daily average.
Four of these were performed back-to-back by CareFlight's busy Bundaberg team.
Most recently, the Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew flew to Happy Valley on Fraser Island at around 5pm this evening to airlift a 74-year-old man who suffered injuries in a fall.
He was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
Two of today's earlier missions involved aerial searches for missing people and another mission was to airlift a man in his 20s injured in a gas tank explosion.
He was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
