
Five questioned over alleged gang rape in Melbourne
FIVE men have been questioned by police after a woman was allegedly tied up with masking tape before being gang-raped in a Melbourne lane.
A 47-year-old woman has told investigators she was attacked in a lane in South Yarra in the city's east early on Sunday morning.
Her legs were bound with tape during the assault and she later ran to nearby Chapel Street seeking help.
Three Bentleigh men aged 20, a 19-year-old from Bentleigh and a 21-year-old from Dandenong handed themselves in on Tuesday night and were interviewed by police.
They were released pending further inquiries.
