First look at this year’s Bachelorettes
CHANNEL 10 has released the first glimpse of the women to feature on the new season of The Bachelor.
This year 19 'bachelorettes' will vie for the attention of Melbourne-based fitness company owner Sam Wood.
The women, aged between 24 and 34, come from a range of professions including a vet, a filmmaker and a dietician.
One of the women is Queenslander Krystal. The blonde beauty is 30 years old and hails from Cannonvale near Airlie Beach.
In the show's debut, the 19 women will meet Wood one by one as they enter a cocktail party.
After trying to get to know as many of the women as possible, 34-year-old Wood will have to give out red roses to the women he wants to stay on the show.
"Being the Bachelor is a real privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I plan on embracing the experience with an open mind, while wearing my heart on my sleeve," Wood said.
"I hope to find a woman with whom I share a sense of fun, an undeniable chemistry and a mutual respect. Ultimately I'm searching for the love of my life. I'm going to throw myself into the adventure and I'm prepared to have the absolute time of my life."
Last year's Bachelor finalist Sam Frost will also star in the first season of The Bachelorette Australia later this year.
Osher Gunsberg returns as The Bachelor host.
