Fire destroys garage and car at Moore Park Beach

POLICE investigations into the cause of a fire which destroyed a garage and car at Moore Park Beach overnight Monday are continuing.

A Queensland Emergency Services spokesman said two crews were called to the blaze about 11pm and found the steel garage at an address in Egret Lane fully engulfed.

A car inside the garage was also lost but no one was injured.

It took crews about 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control after a neighbour alerted the owner and then called emergency services.

Fire investigators and police will return to the scene this morning to determine the cause.
