Fire damages park at Thabeban

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a fire at a Thabeban park which broke out about 8.15am Saturday morning.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said a crew attended the blaze in Searle St which burnt a section of plastic edging around the play equipment.

He said a lighter was found nearby and witnesses saw a group of children in the park moments before the fire started.
