Festival turning 14 and set to turn it on for the crowds
THE Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts is set to come alive this weekend with a host of activities to keep locals entertained.
The festival enters its 14th year and program director Deann Angel expects bumper crowds.
"There is so much going on with tae kwon do demonstrations, music, Japanese drummers, workshops, belly dancers and sporting activities," she said.
"Also food stalls and art works will be available for the public to view."
Mrs Angel said one of the highlights for her would be the lighting of the sandcastle.
"We will have to wait to see what he will build for us.
"Sunday will be a great day to bring your dad along for Father's Day."
The Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts will be held on Saturday from 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-5pm at Moore Park Beach.
