Family day is fun for all

PEOPLE of all ages can enjoy a host of free, fun activities when the Bundaberg Child and Family Centre hosts its fifth annual Child and Family Fun Day Expo on Friday.

Event organiser Dawn Murdoch said highlights would include sensory activities, icing a cup cake, an obstacle course, face painting and much more.

"We have 50 child and family support organisations registered, which will once again ensure that the Expo will be the success it has been in previous years," she said.

"It is a free event for families  and a great way to celebrate National Families Week this week."

Mrs Murdoch said the morning of fun family entertainment would also include local entertainment.

"On stage, the young of our community will be displaying their talents with entertainment from school bands and a choir along with the ever popular bagpiper," she said.

"Old MacDonald's Farm will be back, there is entertainment for the children, a visiting clown, free sausage sizzle along with many prizes and give-a-ways."

The Expo will be held at the Bundaberg PCYC from 9am-noon.
