A FORENSIC investigation team is expected to arrive soon at the site of a fatal tree fall in Mooloolah Valley. 

The man's body was pinned by the tree, and is yet to be recovered. The accident took place at a private property, where three fire trucks, two police cars and an ambulance are on the scene.  

Earlier: 

A MAN died after a gum tree fell on him at a Mooloolah Valley property this morning.  

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said emergency services received a call for assistance just before noon.

There are unconfirmed reports that he was cutting down the tree on his Tunnel Ridge Rd property when it fell on him.

The man, believed to be in his 60s, died at the scene. 

Police and firefighters are in attendance.
