Exhibition inspires

A COLOURFUL exhibition of free-flowing artworks will open at the Bundaberg campus of CQUniversity tonight.

Gooreng Gooreng artist Nicole Wone has released her first solo exhibition, called Inspirations, New Age Art, and will launch it at the university where she studied two years ago, as part of the Crush Festival.

The canvas images depict interrelated themes of new age philosophies and modern aboriginal culture.

Ms Wone’s year-long journey of professional development has included orchestrating exhibitions for other local Aboriginal artists and the National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC).

People can view the work on display at the Bundaberg Campus, CQUniversity foyer from October 11-29.

The official opening will be held tonight between 5.30 and 7pm.
