Ewan back in the winner's circle after third win in Tour

BUNDABERG connection Caleb Ewan redeemed himself in Stage 3 of the Tour Down Under today.

Ewan was back in the winner's circle after claiming the 144km race in 3hrs 24mins and 45sec.

The cyclist, whose grandparents live in Bundy, had been wearing the leader's Ochre jersey until losing to Richie Porte in Wednesday's Stage 2.

Ewan's performance yesterday earned him the right to wear the Tour's young rider jersey and sprint jersey. The Ochre jersey remains with Porte.

Ewan will be back on the road today for the 149.5km Stage 4 starting at 10.30am local time.

He earlier claimed the People's Choice Stage and Stage 1.

Marie Ewan this week told the NewsMail this week she believed her grandson can take out overall honours.
