Everything from abstract to traditional in artworks

BUNDABERG Art Society (BAS) members have been working feverously in recent weeks to finish their works in time for this weekend's Our Landscape exhibition.

BAS exhibitions officer Marion Berry said hanging was well and truly under way.

"Having already seen some of the works, this will be a first class exhibition," Ms Berry said.

"I look forward to seeing peoples' reactions to the wide variety of landscape interpretations on show - there's something for everyone. Our Landscape brings together abstract, contemporary and traditional works by local artists of all ages.

"It's an opportunity for Bundaberg residents and visitors to attend an exhibition of original, local art for free. By purchasing a piece from one of our awarding winning, internationally acclaimed or emerging artists, guests will be supporting our vibrant local art scene."

Our Landscape  will be open to the public at Hazzard Gallery on Walker Street between 9am and 3pm this Saturday, and Sunday 10am until 2pm (June 27 & 28) - no appointment necessary.

To RSVP for opening night (6.30pm Friday, June 28) email battymarilyn@gmail.com or marionb@skymesh.com.au.
