Evening with science fiction writer

AS PART of Queensland Writers Centre's 25th Anniversary program of events, QWC will host a special evening with Brisbane-based science fiction writer Nina D'Aleo in Bundaberg on Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Nina is a science fiction author published by Momentum, the digital arm of Pan Macmillan Australia. Her debut novel The Last City (2012, Momentum), which is book one of The Demon War Chronicles, and her most recent book The White List (2014, Momentum), have both been shortlisted for the Aurealis Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.

Nina has been a QWC member for 15 years. In 2007 she met her agent through Bundaberg WriteFest's 'Meet an agent' program, which led to her debut novel being published by Momentum  in 2012. Nina also completed QWC's first editorial mentorship with Judith Lukin-Amundsen in 2002.

Attendees will be treated to an intimate opportunity to hear Nina's insights into modern publishing, her journey to publication, and the creative process behind her soon to be released third instalment of The Demon War Chronicles series.

This event continues QWC's commitment to writing in Bundaberg and Burnett-Wide Bay region.

QWC regularly hosts events in Bundaberg and is a long-term partner of Bundaberg Writers' Club and sponsor of the Bundaberg WriteFest.

More information about the event is available on the QWC website.
