
Emergency services kept busy with crashes
CHILDERS police were called to two traffic crashes in five minutes today, with all those involved lucky to escape uninjured.
There were also two minor crashes in Bundaberg, prompting a warning for drivers.
At 1.45pm a truck rolled after leaving the southbound lane of Childers Rd north of Apple Tree Creek, near the Bruce Hwy turn-off.
The crash closed the road for a short time so the truck could be towed.
Just minutes later emergency services were called to the Bruce Hwy near the Buxton turn-off, 10km south of Childers.
One car side-swiped a second car travelling in the opposite direction.
Police issued a female driver with a traffic infringement notice for losing control of her car.
About 8.20am today two cars crashed outside a mechanic workshop in Bundaberg, with a Hyundai Excel and Holden Barina colliding at the intersection of Boundry St and Sims Rd.
Emergency crews also attended after a car went through a fence about 1.20pm near the intersection of George and Walla Sts.
