Series win looms for Brown

JEFF Brown continues to speed towards victory in the Elgas Series after another dominant performance at Sandy Hook.

Brown claimed victory in the open unlimited class of the Wide Bay Australia Fun Day in his boat De Ja Vu, pipping the resurgent David Parker in a hard-fought contest.

Parker turned plenty of heads in his restored TDK boat, but could not match the intensity of Brown.

In the restricted/combo class, Andrew Goodhew from Brisbane claimed first in his boat Stress, ahead of newcomer David Saban aboard Lethal Weapon.

Vic Keighley was too quick in the jet ski class, powering up the straights to beat old hand Robbie West.

Newcomer Wanita Keighley made a sensational start, achieving a third place in her Sandy Hook debut.

Brisbane-based speed queen Dee Downes continued her dominance of the 850cc category in her boat Bigga Bitch Craft, romping home in convincing fashion.

Maroochy River young gun Jake Greentree ran in second with Brisbane's Don Farlow finishing third.
