Unity festival raring to go

MURWILLUMBAH showground will be alive with music from many walks of life on Saturday.

Ukerabah Kunjiel dancers Stephen Larcombe and Aaron Cora will be one of many acts included in the UNITY festival line-up this year.

The all-ages festival will showcase world music, exotic dance as well as costumes and food from around the world.

Organisers have encouraged children to bring clean, empty milk cartons or containers to build a cubby house.

The festival is a green-power and waste-wise event with monitoring of the festival footprint.

Organisers have asked patrons to take their own food utensils or use biodegradable or recyclable utensils provided.

Tickets for the 10-hour event, which will run from noon until 10pm will be $20 per adult, ($15 if booked online), $10 concession and free for children under 16.

Camping is available on site starting at $5 per adult (children under 16 free).
