Dust off your blue suede shoes and head to Childers

DUST off your blue suede shoes and head over to Childers on September 26 for a rock and roll festival.

The Brass Monkeys will have you swinging your hips and tapping your toes to the music in The Seven Legends Concert at the Paragon Theatre.

Lead singer Barry Franklin said the evening will kick off at 8pm after a day of "rocking back the clock" with the Isis Club Car and Bike Show.

Mr Franklin said the concert was held last year and was very successful and again would have the crowd stepping back in time.

"We have music by Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Blues Brothers, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Johnny O'Keefe all rolled into the one concert," he said.

"One of the great things about having the concert at the Paragon Theatre will be the setting - having it here will be very similar to places these guys would have performed in their day.

"So it's definitely not just a show it's also the venue."

Mr Franklin said he had a passion for this era of music and enjoyed sharing it with the crowd.

"It's an al ages event and there will definitely be something in Childers for everyone on the day," he said.

"We will be bringing back some of the old favourites and some new songs to get the crowd moving."

He said there would be buses running from Bundaberg and Bargara and surrounds heading over to Childers for the concert.
