Driver killed after single-vehicle crash in Kingsholme

POLICE are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Kingsholme last night.

Initial information suggests at around 8.40pm, a car travelling along Upper Ormeau Road has left the roadway, impacted with a tree and caught fire.

The male driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
