Drink-driver caught leaving pub

A 47-YEAR-OLD South Kolan woman will face court next month after she was caught driving home drunk with her two kids in the car.

South Kolan Police Sergeant Peter Clarke said the woman was observed driving at 40km/h in an 80km/h zone on Sunday shortly after 6.10pm.

"She was driving from the South Kolan pub to her house," he said.

The woman returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.174% and was charged with drink driving.

Sgt Clarke urged people not to get behind the wheel if they'd had too much to drink.

"A lot of pubs have courtesy buses - maybe they should use them," he said.
