Donaldson ends meet on high note

BUNDABERG'S Nathan Donaldson has saved his best until last at the World Para Athletics Junior Championships.

The teenager finished second in the 400m in the T34 to finish the championships in Switzerland with three medals after taking bronze in the 100m and 200m over the weekend.

Donaldson, with a time of one minute and six seconds, finished behind fellow Australian Gregory Luff, who won three golds during the championships.

It completed the perfect meet for Donaldson who originally set himself the goal of claiming one medal at the event.

The 15-year-old will return to Bundaberg later this week and focus on competing at the next junior championships in two years.
