Doctors return for lifestyle

THE relaxed, beachside living in Bundaberg was enough to attract 26 new doctors to the Bundaberg Hospital in recent months.

Among those was Chris Sadler, a doctor who completed his training at the hospital four years ago and decided to return with his doctor fiance.

"We had a really good time here at the hospital and felt that we got a really great learning experience and quite liked the lifestyle," he said.

A further 12 permanent doctors are expected to start at the hospital in March, increasing the number of full-time doctors by four compared to last year.

Bundaberg Hospital medical services director Michael Hills said the influx of doctors was a significant boost to the healthcare facility.
