Life of adventure for Diana

A CUSTOMS official's passport error has delivered a whole new persona for traveller Diana Tansey.

She was inadvertently noted down as Indiana June when she flew into Cairns in March.

Instead of taking offence at the official's mistake, Diana decided she would launch her alter ego.

The copywriter quit her job, sold everything, bought a bicycle and started a travel writer's blog, Indiana June.

Except Indiana June doesn't just travel to places of her choice. She travels to places of other people's choosing using social media.

"I used to love those adventure books where you choose the route," she said.

"So I decided to mix it with a travel log and a bicycle was thrown in the mix. I combined all the things I love to do in life all at once."

Her travel blog invites people to vote for what happens next.

Diana has zig-zagged across Europe and it looks like she will be heading off to South America in December.

Diana had to take a break from her pick-a-path adventure across the world to visit the Sunshine Coast this week for a more traditional custom - a wedding.

"My cousin's getting married in Marcoola on Wednesday," she said.

"Initially I wasn't sure if I'd make the wedding, then she asked me to emcee the event and I couldn't miss it."
