Detectives seek public help on vehicle thefts

DETECTIVES are calling for information regarding a series of vehicle thefts from the weekend.

Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Sergeant David Tucker said a burnt-out Subaru Liberty, stolen from a Thabeban home on Saturday night, was found at the end of Honours Rd on Sunday morning.

"Motorbike riders in the area took a photo of it and put it on Facebook," he said.

"A friend of the owner of the vehicle recognised it."

A Toyota Camry was also stolen from an Avoca Rd address in the early hours of Saturday, and was found bogged off Samuels Rd in Branyan hours later.

A red Kawasaki motorbike and black Honda, also stolen at the weekend, had not been recovered by late yesterday.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
