Debutantes spice up Thabeban Park

TODAY'S eight-race program at Thabeban Park raceway features three heats of the time-honoured Bundaberg Owners, Trainers and Breeders’ Maiden Classic.

With $1000 up for grabs to the winner there will be plenty of interest in the qualifying heats.

Race one is the first heat and most interest will centre on the five first starters in the field.

There are some well-bred pups and certainly none more so than Sally Kewell, a daughter of Irish stud dog Droopys Kewell out of a quality bitch in Mariska.

Race two is heat two has little form from the runners to confidently make a selection so when in doubt keep an eye on the red rug runner — Uno Leo.

It’s a first starter for Tracy Kunde of Caboolture.

The Free For All, for First and Second Grade dogs, brings the high class speedsters together.

Brodies Breed is in fine form and chasing yet another win on the track.

The final race on the program has an interesting runner in Write Off Bart.

Write Off Bart is prepared by top southern trainer Tom Tzouvelis.

The son of Collision is a former Casino track record holder and should have too much class.

Richo’s Choice, Ledaro Midge and Seb’s Memory all have recent winning form.

Barriers rise from 1.30pm with full totalisator, bookmaker, café and bar facilities.
