Dimitri Kovacs writes that as the man attempted to yell out to his friend, he hit the magazine release button on his gun.

"You can hear it hitting the pavement," he wrote on the video caption.

"While he is scrambling to get his magazine I jump back in to my car".

The thief can then be heard saying: "I swear to god I will beat your b---- ass. There's still one (bullet) in there. F---!

"There's still one in there b----".

While he fiddles with his gun, the owner floors the car away from the scene.

Since being put online on Friday, the 35-second video has now been watched more than 77,000 times.
