Darling Downs man finds missing mother

UPDATE: A DARLING Downs mother who went missing late yesterday has been found safe and well.

Bill McLean made a desperate plea regarding his 72-year-old mother when he was unable to reach her.

Mr McLean commented on the post about his mother on The Chronicle Facebook page last night saying he had been in contact with her and she was now at home.

"Got her on phone... She is home now and sounds a little lost... Police updated and going to check on her... Thanks all for sharing and for the info," he wrote.

 

EARLIER: A DARLING Downs man has made a desperate plea regarding his elderly mother.

Bill McLean's 72-year-old mother was concerned about her own health when she left him in Toowoomba at 2.30pm this afternoon.

"She has been uncontactable since and should have been back home at Cunningham by 4pm," he said.

"She has not been contactable since and police have confirmed she is not at home and listed her missing."

Mr McLean said his mother had symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's disease and was last seen leaving Newtown, Toowoomba for Cunningham, near Warwick, at 2.30pm in a Red Mitsubishi Magna.

He appealed for anyone with information to contact Warwick Police on 4660 4444.
