Man who tried to abduct child could be released from jail

A MAN who attempted to abduct a young boy near Ipswich could be released from jail later this month on strict supervision conditions.

Brisbane Supreme Court heard on Friday psychiatrist reports that form part of Ryan James Fuller's case support him being placed on a supervision order.

But a court will determine this later this month.

Under dangerous prisoner laws, the Attorney-General can apply to the Supreme Court to impose strict conditions on dangerous offenders or extend their detention.

Two psychiatrists will give evidence at a Supreme Court hearing in Brisbane on September 28.
