Dancing for a good cause

PLANS are in full swing for this year's Bundaberg April Showers Charity Ball.

Ray Tyson and his wife Joan have been organising the event for the past 15 years and are expecting a big crowd for this year's ball.

"So far for we've sold about 250 tickets but we are expecting a few more," Mr Tyson said.

"People are travelling from all over the state, from the Gold Coast to Cairns.

"This year there are a number of new dancers coming from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane."

Popular Rockhampton outfit Moorhead Dance Band will provide the entertainment that features something for everyone.

"The Saturday night program is especially designed to cater for all levels of dancers," Mr Tyson said.

To be held this Saturday at the civic centre, the ball will raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Heart Support.

Tickets are $15. For information, phone Roy or Joan Tyson on 4151 4753.
