Damage done to Driftwood Cafe and nearby vehicle

BARGARA Police attended the scene of two wilful damage incidents from Saturday night at Elliott Heads.

Sergeant Officer Matt Steinhardt said unknown persons were parked in the carpark at Elliott Heads Beach between the hours of 11pm and 6am at the weekend where damage had taken place at Driftwood Cafe and a nearby vehicle.

"A person or persons have thrown an unknown projectile into the cafe where the windows have broken. The rear window of a caravan park holiday-makers' SUV was also partially shattered," he said.

"We believe the two incidents are related."

Sgt Steinhardt said anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Police Link on 131 444.
