Cyclist, 61, dies after Barolin St crash

SUNDAY: Bundaberg Police have confirmed that the 61-year-old man injured in a crash on Barolin St on Saturday morning has died in hospital.

Initial investigations suggest at about 8.40am, a 61-year-old man was riding a bicycle along Barolin Street.

While attempting to turn right at McCarthy Street, the man's bicycle collided with a trailer which was being towed by a car travelling in the same direction.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the crash. 

SATURDAY: Police are investigating a serious traffic crash which occurred in Bundaberg this morning.

Initial investigations suggest at about 8.40am, a 61-year-old man was riding a bicycle along Barolin Street.

While attempting to turn right at McCarthy Street, the man's bicycle collided with a trailer which was being towed by a car travelling in the same direction.

The rider was taken to Bundaberg Hospital where he is in a critical condition.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
