Crime figures down

QUEENSLAND families are the safest they've been in half a decade because of revitalised front line police, smarter technology and stronger laws, according to Police Minister Jack Dempsey.

The Queensland rate of reported offences has dropped 11% across Queensland, the rate of reported robbery is down 18% and the rate of reported arson is down 20%.
