Bundy cricketers lose to Brisbane
BUNDABERG'S chances of winning the under-12 Queensland State Cricket Championship took a blow yesterday with a loss to Brisbane North at Kendalls Flat Sports Grounds.
The Wide Bay team could muster only 114 runs against a strong Brisbane North attack led by Connor Arnold, who took four wickets.
Brycen Mitchell managed 21 runs as Wide Bay suffered its first loss in the competition, by 13 runs.
It was a better day for Metropolitan South West, which scored 243 runs in its defeat of North Queensland. Half-centuries to Vincent Foo and Tom Crook helped steer MSW to a 104-run win over the northern side.
Far North Queensland also had a good day, beating Gold Coast by eight runs, with Morgan Teniola taking four wickets for the victors.
Darling Downs South West Queensland continued to perform well, beating South East Queensland by 43 runs.
Jack Just got the biggest score of the day, scoring 65 for Darling Downs.
