VIDEO: Boy treated for cut to head after being hit by car

UPDATE 5PM: A 12-YEAR-OLD Bundaberg State High School student is recovering in hospital afternoon after he was  hit by a car on Walker St about 2.45pm.

The boy was treated for a cut to the back of his head before being transported to the Bundaberg Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to call Bundaberg police on 4153 9111.

EARLIER: EMERGENCY crews have rushed to a crash on Walker St. 

It is believed a school student has been hit by a car near the intersection of Kensington St. 

The student is reportedly fully conscious. 

Queensland Ambulance crews and a nearby doctor are on scene.
