CQUni graduates make the grade

AFTER years of study CQUniversity 2008 graduates are leading the way with 87.7% gaining full time employment within four months of completing their degree.

This compares with a national success rate of 79.2%.

A number of study areas could look forward to a 100% success rate including building, social work and other engineering.

Other leading study areas included basic nursing with 97.3% of graduates receiving full time employment, computer science with 96.6% and accounting 93.1%.

The figures, which were released as part of the Australian Graduate Survey, show a 6% fall in employment prospects for new bachelor degree graduates on a national level.

CQUniversity had a less pronounced year-to-year decline decline from compared with the national average dropping just over 4% from last year’s 91.9% employment rate.
