$60 fine for shopping despite ban

A BUNDABERG mother-of-four who entered Big W despite a ban was fined $60 in Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday.

Tetyana Fleming pleaded guilty to trespassing.

Police Sergeant Robyn Shapcott said Fleming was seen in the store on January 11, despite a ban being in place since November 2009. She was banned after she committed an offence in the store.

Defence lawyer Warren Highland said she had entered the shop as she was concerned her children were taking longer than expected to buy a birthday present.
