Couple changing it up at sport, cycle shop

CALLING all adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts - Freedom Cycle and Sports on Bourbong St have all the toys you need for some fun in the sun.

New owners Paul and Tracey Mobbs took over the business in December last year and have made some big changes.

"We have really changed the stock and introduced new items, new brands and new pricing," Mrs Mobbs said.

The duo have a huge range of bikes in store including hybrid, electric and specialised stunt bikes.

"We are exclusive agents to the Shredder BMX bikes. They are a little stunt bike that have a really heavy weight rating so adults can do tricks on them," Mrs Mobbs said.

"You can't get them anywhere else in Bundaberg. They have been very popular, we can't keep up."

If you are having bike problems, the team can help you out with repair work and there are also a great range of other sporting accessories in store.

"We have everything from skateboards, skates, pool and dart accessories and more," Mr Mobbs said.

"We also stock archery items and we do archery repairs."

If you are more of a water lover, Paul and Tracey stock kayaks, paddle boards and surfing accessories.

They can also hook you up with the best brands of scooters that come in a range of great styles and colours.

"If you are into skateboards, we have all the parts in stock so you can build one yourself," Mrs Mobbs said.

The pair, who have worked hard to re-establish the business, said they based Freedom Cycle and Sports around fantastic customer service and great prices.

"We are always trying to fight with the internet prices," Mrs Mobbs said.

"If we haven't got what you need we will certainly bend over backwards to get it for you."

Freedom Cycle and Sports is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm and Saturday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

Extended lay by is now available in the lead up to Christmas.
