Councillor David Batt to run for seat of Bundaberg

"David Batt is a hardworking, well respected and dedicated local who has a wealth of experience behind him," Mr Bennett 

"He has served our community for a number of years and played an instrumental part of the flood disaster recovery that ravaged our region. 

"He is reliable, community-minded and knows what it means to be part of his community.

"When you look at what he is offering to the people of Bundaberg, he is clearly the ideal person up for the challenge."

BUNDABERG MP Leanne Donaldson has congratulated division 8 councillor David Batt on his LNP nomination.

"I congratulate David on his nomination.  I look forward to a healthy rivalry as he settles in for a very long campaign," she said.

THE Bundaberg Branch of the LNP has chosen Divsion 8 councillor David Batt to represent the party at the next Queensland State Election.

"David is well known throughout Bundaberg for his hard work in the community and we believe that he will be a great fighter for the region if elected at the next state election," LNP president Gary Spence said today.

Having grown up in the Bundaberg region, Cr Batt understands the issues facing Bundaberg families.

"He currently serves on the boards of Impact Community Services, Bundaberg PCYC, the Branyan Road State School Council, Across the Waves, Shalom College and Bundaberg Netball.

"We need a government that can get on with the job and deliver better services to cities like Bundaberg.

"We need a representative who will stand and be heard, someone with a proven track record."

Cr Batt said he was looking forward to making a positive change in the region. 

"I am passionate about crime prevention and child safety and I if I am elected I will dedicate my term in Parliament to doing everything I can to secure local jobs, safer communities and better government services," he said.
