Company contracted to provide maintenance for QCLNG

QGC has awarded a $33 million contract to maintenance business ABB to provide maintenance services for the QCLNG project on Curtis Island.

The contract will run over four years, with the potential to extend the service term up to 10 years.

ABB will provide comprehensive services including an on-site team to maintain the extended automation system and integrated control and safety systems.

The contract also covers spare parts management for QCLNG's upstream collection and transportation facility, as well as for the midstream liquefaction and export facility.

In 2011, ABB was awarded a $58 million order from QGC to provide integrated automation, safety and telecommunications systems and related equipment for the upstream coal seam gas project.

The ABB Group is a global company with contracts in more than 100 countries.
