Community get a taste of Winterfeast

WINTER is here, although more importantly, Winterfeast is here.

It is the inaugural year for the new event brand that represents a passionate culinary industry, passionate farmers and producers that together will make Winterfeast 2016 possible.

Stemming off the success of the Farmers Flats Markets in 2015 that saw over 15,000 event goers descend upon the Kendall Flats, Winterfeast organiser and passionate culinary hero for the region, Amanda Hinds saw that one of Australia's greatest food bowls should be on show for the rest of Australia to experience.

In tandem with the launch of the Winterfeast website, www.winterfeast.com.au, Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism personnel held street activations in two of the region's largest foot traffic precincts, the Bundaberg CBD Pavilion and Bargara Esplanade today.

The public were able to bite into Bundaberg made and sourced 'Winterfeast' passionfruit and white chocolate cupcakes by Alowishus Delicious for morning tea at Bargara.

From 11am the public walking by the Bundaberg CBD Pavilion were also in for a treat.

Teaming up again with proud Winterfeast event partner, Alowishus Delicious, there were free gourmet-made-on Bundaberg-produce gelato to tickle and tantalise all tastebuds.

Tickets to Winterfeast events are available at www.winterfeast.com.au
