Bundaberg takes new green approach

TRIGGERED by a meeting in November last year, the Bundaberg Regional Council announced the establishment of a Community Conservation Advisory Group in last week’s meeting.

The group will provide, among other objectives, a forum on specific issues via three to four meetings a year.

A Community Conservation Advisory Group has been established, with representatives from council, Smith’s Crossing, Vera Scarth-Johnson Wildflower Reserve, Baldwin Swamp, Pasturage Reserve, Meadowvale Nature Park, Bundaberg Bush and Woongarra Scrub, Kellys Creek, Splitters Creek and Bundaberg and District Landcare.

The group is expected to grow to best give a cross-section representation of the community and its interests.
