Comments wanted on plan
BUNDABERG residents still have time to comment on the working draft of The Queensland Plan, the state's 30-year vision, with its public review period just passing the halfway point.
Member for Bundaberg Jack Dempsey said there had been positive feedback from respondents on the draft plan and encouraged more people to have their say.
"The working draft is a compilation of what Queenslanders said when asked to think about their preferred future and I encourage Bundaberg residents to give their feedback on it," Mr Dempsey said.
"Not everyone will agree with what is in the draft plan, which is why we are giving Bundaberg people the opportunity to give their views on the identified targets and measures within the draft. The feedback received has provided an indication of the concerns and goals of everyday Queenslanders.
"The comments received so far show Queenslanders are passionate about encouraging investment and population growth in our regional areas such as Bundaberg," Mr Dempsey said.
"They've also shown they care about ensuring education keeps up to speed with the rapid technological advances our society faces and that we build resilient infrastructure to grow our economy.
"I encourage everyone to have their say on the draft and contribute towards the development of the final version of The Queensland Plan.
"Don't miss this opportunity to help shape our state's future."
