Man dies after Uki crash between car and motorcycle

UPDATE 5.45am: A MAN involved in a collision between a motorcycle and a car last week at Uki has died in hospital.

Just after 5pm on Friday, October 7, emergency services were called to Kyogle Road, Uki (about 14km south-west of Murwillumbah), following reports a motorcycle and Mitsubishi Triton 4WD had collided.

The rider of the motorbike, a 43-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being air lifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Police were advised today the 43-year-old had man died in Gold Coast University Hospital.

The driver and two passengers in the vehicle were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.
