Collingwood teammates back Goodes after racial slur

COLLINGWOOD midfield star Dane Swan has spoken of his disappointment at the alleged racial slur directed at Swans champion Adam Goodes by a young Mapgie supporter during Friday night's game at the MCG.

"I'm a pretty good mate of Adam's and it's disappointing to hear that something like that, especially in Indigenous Round and those boys showing how good they are," Swan told reporters yesterday.

a"It's extremely disappointing and all we can do is apologise to Adam and stress we've got no tolerance for any sort of racism at our footy club."

Swan acknowledged Collingwood were "shown up" by Sydney, adding his side would need to bounce back against Brisbane on Friday night if it wanted to be a top four side.
