Charity golf day to help Kenyan kids in need

TEE off to help the poor in Kenya by participating in the annual Umoja Orphanage Charity Golf Day.

Event organiser Dan Thomas has partnered with the local charity to assist in providing training and employment to the local community around the children's village in Kenya.

"The Umoja Orphanage Project has made a lot of progress in the last 12 months to prepare the land for the first group of orphaned children and I am happy to help them raise more funds for their building program," he said.

Profits from the event will help to buy materials and to hire local employees to build Umoja's first children's home.

Charity founder Cathy Booth said the project expected to take in the first children by January 2015.
