Men steal cigarettes from store

FOUR people broke into a Bundaberg convenience store on October 11 to steal 20 packs of cigarettes, a court was told.

Justin Phillip Baxter, 20, of Walkervale, and three juveniles rode their bikes to the Fiveways Bundaberg Foodworks about midnight.

Video footage showed the four speaking and looking at the store before Baxter handed his hooded jumper to another person, who used a brick to smash a window.

Baxter and another fled the scene, while the two remaining entered the store to steal the cigarettes.

Baxter pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court to breaking and entering and possessing dangerous drugs

He was ordered to attend drug diversion, placed on six months’ probation and pay $130 restitution.
