Choice to make a big move easy
MOVING house can be difficult enough, but Mortgage Choice is making it easier for anyone settling in Bundaberg.
The Bourbong Street business is offering free moving boxes to those in the process of moving, like David Owens.
Mr Owens said the initiative was a great idea, and certainly came in handy with his latest move.
“It’s really good, we’ve moved six times in the last four years,” he said.
“We’ve got some old removalist boxes left, but I was about 12 short.”
Mr Owens was not the only resident to take advantage of Mortgage Choice’s Re-Use Recycle Program yesterday, with a woman also ordering 50 moving boxes.
Mortgage Choice Bundaberg branch manager Ron Jeppesen said that all people need to do is telephone Mortgage Choice with the quantity of boxes needed, and they will be ready to pick up from the branch within 48 hours.
People who use the service are expected to return them for recycling.
“Over 200 boxes have been returned through the program already,” Mr Jeppesen said.
Mr Jeppesen said the program was designed to make moving easier, while also helping the environment.
“We’re already a free service to make it easy for people looking for loans and refinance at Mortgage Choice, so it makes perfect sense for us to further our community assistance through an initiative such as this.”
The Re-Use Recycle program was only started last month, and has already proven to be successful.
It is supported by Worldwide Online Printing, who have designed and printed brochures and posters on 100% recycled paper for free, and Wridgways, who supplied all the boxes for free.
