Chelsea stays on course for EPL crown

FOOTBALL: A 3-0 win at Everton has kept Chelsea on target for the English Premier League title as the Blues stayed four points clear of Tottenham at the top of the ladder.

Spurs' 2-0 home win over Arsenal keeps the title race alive but three more wins will secure the crown for Antonio Conte's men.

Goals by Pedro, Gary Cahill and Willian gave Chelsea a comfortable win, while England pair Harry Kane and Dele Alli made sure Tottenham would finish abover its north London rival in the league for the first time since 1995.

Spurs, chasing their first English championship since 1961, can close the gap on the leaders to one point if they can win a third successive London derby away to West Ham United on Saturday morning (EST).

The leaders do not play until next Tuesday morning and, although Conte's side will expect to beat second-bottom Middlesbrough, the visitors will be desperate for points after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City left it six points off safety in second-bottom spot.

Manchester United could have overtaken City into fourth spot but lucky to escape with a draw against third-bottom Swansea.

The visitors cpould have got more than a point in the 1-1 draw with Wayne Rooney scoring a controversial penalty after Marcus Rashford clearly dived to earn a penalty.

The visitors levelled thanks to a sublime Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick and should have won all three points when striker Fernando Llorente somehow missed from close range at the death.
