A BUNDABERG man is angry a driver did more than $1000 worth of damage to his four-wheel drive in a car park - and then just drove off.

A CCTV video shows the whole incident, as the driver of a late model white Nissan Navara Twin Cab backs hard into John Dobbs's parked 4WD, parks again and gets out to have a look at the damage, before driving off.

Mr Dobbs, a council worker, was inside the Taylor's Hardware store buying a door seal to repair a council building when the incident happened.

"I'm really cranky about it," he said.

"He didn't even have the guts to come in and let me know."

Mr Dobbs said he just wanted to get in touch with the driver of the white Nissan.

"I want to show him what has happened to my bull bar. It's damaged and totally loose now," he said.

"If it was me I would have gone back into the store and asked who owned the damaged vehicle.

"That someone of his age would do that, it just makes me angry."

Mr Dobbs said he was equally upset the bystander in the video watched the whole thing and did not say a word.

"The bloke just stood there and watched it," he said.

"Then he just drove off too."
