Career expo was impetus for physio career

A CAREER born from a visit to a Career Expo when she was a school student, Lesley Smith knew she was destined to become a physiotherapist.

More than 34 years later, her passion for helping to heal people grows strong - assisting generations of families and local athletes like the Rockhampton Rockets and Cyclones.

Over the years her practice, North Rockhampton Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre, has grown a strong reputation for being a friendly, 'hands-on' focused practice.

"Clients are greeted warmly by Helen or Denise and during a patient's initial consultation, I will run through a confidential questionnaire, conduct an assessment, form my diagnosis and treat appropriately."

"Physiotherapy is a dynamic, evolving science and keeping updated with new techniques is vital, so for this reason I regularly attend post-graduate education seminars."
